I have a request for anyone interested...

As you can see, each and every week we have five, six, seven... talents making their debut in CMP's films. Obviously, there is a new generation of stars very different from the most popular talents back in 2006, when CMP was born. Also, many talents have changed their status in and out of CMP during these years: some talents are not that popular anymore, some others have become big stars...

And that means... it would be great if CMP could work with a Hollywood Mogul's BRAND NEW TALENTS DATABASES for actors, actresses and directors.

I have been using for long the so called Smirkworthy's 2008 databases. Each new CMP's Season, I make changes in it (upgrading and downgrading talents' ratings, introducing new talents...) and also Hollywood Mogul has the 'Discover New Talent' tool for debutantes. I have been surviving with that... But I have the feeling that's not enough anymore. Databases need a whole redefinition to update them to 2011.

So... anyone interested in doing that update?

I would help. But I can't do it by myself. All my gaming time is busy with CMP and putting up the two weekly installments.

Some guides for the job:

-I would send you the original Smirkworthy's databases so you can work on them. That makes the work much easier. Of course, you need to have the 'Hollywood Mogul' game.

-Very Important: The databases should consider not only reality but also CMP's world. I.e.: Joshua Jackson (God knows why... Very Happy

) is a regularly demanded talent in CMP thanks to Dawson so he has a higher status in CMP than out of it (not to mention Derek Luke...); Emma Watson is a top star in CMP right now; people like Zach Braff or Joseph Gordon-Levitt are top stars at CMP but they are very much downrated at the original databases; Adam Sandler is on top of the Databases but he is never cast in CMP's movies... etc. etc. What I mean, the new Databases should take into consideration the CMP's scene... I could send you a list with who I consider should be on top of the actors, actresses and directors databases considering their CMP's prestige.

-I would send you a list of the latest CMP's debutantes that, in my opinion, have to necessarily be at the databases to help ypu.

-All ages of the talents should be changed and updated from the original databases.

Well, get the idea?
I would be there to help. But I need somebody to spend the time of re-doing the databases. It's not that hard... No more than a couple of evenings working on it. I'd love to have the new databases before Season 19 begins.

The nice news is that we are in Xmas time... Happy Christmas to everyone!

But I have terrible news too...

I had a problem with my PC. I copied everything about CMP in a pendrive. The result? My PC has died... and the worst thing is that the pebdrive suddenly died too.

Now, I have lost everything! All the databases with the story of CMP: movies, filmographies, awards... Everything!

Each and every pitch not released yet too... And that means hundreds of pages...

Also, all the 30 posters of next Season's releases...

Well, simply EVERYTHING related with CMP.

I cannot go on without all the datas. I am going to take the pendrive to an expert to see if he can recover the information. If not, I fear this might mean the most stupid way of putting an end to CMP...

I am devastated and so angry with myself for being so stupid.

All I can say is that CMP goes on hiatus while I try to recover all the archives, pictures and everything.

Stay tuned and I'll keep you informed when I have definitive news if going on is possible or not.

I am afraid this is official...

After all these days trying to recover all my CMP's archives from a dead pendrive, it has been absolutely impossible.

Due to a most stupid reason and after all these years...

CMP CLOSES ITS DOORS.

It's been such a great experience. Thanks to everyone one who made it possible.

And who knows if some day we will meet again in some other creative adventure...
