Last. Movie Seen

Just saw 'Super 8'. Very nice movie. And great screen presence from Elle Fanning.

Last movie I saw was 'The Help'. I didn't enjoy it whatsoever. You can not carry an entire movie on one joke. The characters are feel a sense of dread about their actions, and as audience members we know what could happen based on previous knowledge but the movie fails to show that what the characters are doing is risky...beyond them constantly saying so over and over and over again.

If you see one Emma Stone movie this summer, let it be 'Crazy, Stupid, Love', which was very funny. A bit predictable but had its moments.

A movie called 'The Perfect Host' starring Frasier's David Hyde Pierce as a schizophrenic with a criminal who breaks into his house and is held hostage. Sounds a lot like Foul Karma, eh? haha but it is a great film in that sub-genre of 'crazy guy/girl torturing a criminal' ala Hard Candy and Foul Karma.

Last movie I saw was "Attack the Block" which was a very good movie. I also saw "Drive" with Ryan Gosling. Really enjoyed that, despite its poor ending. It seems I really don't like the endings to most movies these days. I guess that's why I've been watching more tv lately.
